The candidate Provide legal and administrative support to the U.S.-based legal team in matters related to employment law, Workers' Compensation claims, and PEO/EOR operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, familiarity with U.S. legal procedures, and fluent English communication to manage documentation, case tracking, and coordination with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist U.S. attorneys with employment-related matters, PEO/EOR operations, and Workers' Compensation claims.
  • Draft and organize legal correspondence, reports, forms, and claim documents.
  • Conduct legal research under the direction of attorneys.
  • Manage internal case files and legal documentation systems.
  • Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, and administrative agencies.
  • Track deadlines, manage legal calendars, and support the full claim lifecycle.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with U.S. legal procedures.

Basic or essential Knowledge

  • U.S. employment law and Workers' Compensation processes.
  • PEO/EOR operations (preferred).
  • Legal terminology in English.
  • Microsoft Office and legal software (Clio, MyCase, etc.).
  • Legal writing in English and Spanish.
  • File management and legal administrative procedures.

Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Legal process organization and tracking.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Time and priority management.
  • Teamwork with multicultural professionals.
  • Professionalism and legal ethics.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certification or law degree (Colombia or U.S.).
  • Language: English level C1/C2.

Experiencie:

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years as a legal assistant or paralegal with direct exposure to U.S. law.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting U.S. attorneys and employment-related legal documentation

JOB OFFER

Salary offer between 5 to 5.5 million COP, depending on experience. Hybrid work model from Monday to Friday, with availability on holidays as needed.
