Summary

We are looking for an Azure Architect to lead the design, evolution, and technical direction of enterprise-grade software solutions within a cloud-native environment. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in defining architectural standards, making high-impact technical decisions, and ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

In this role, you will combine hands-on engineering (70–80%) with architectural leadership, serving as a technical authority across teams. You will work closely with engineering groups and business stakeholders within financial services and private equity environments, supporting data-intensive, compliance-driven, and mission-critical platforms. This position requires strong collaboration and strategic thinking, guiding architectural decisions, promoting best practices, and ensuring technology solutions align with long-term business and technical objectives.

Education

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience

•10+ years of experience building and maintaining software applications.

•5+ years in senior technical leadership roles such as Software Architect, Staff Engineer, or Technical Lead.

•Strong background as a back-end or full-stack engineer prior to assuming architectural responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and lead the architecture of internal and client-facing applications within an Azure cloud environment.

•Design, document, and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures using Azure-native services.

•Act as a technical authority by leading architectural discussions, reviewing designs, and approving key technical decisions.

•Provide hands-on development support using .NET Core (C#) and modern front-end frameworks (React or Angular).

•Guide teams on clean architecture, design patterns, performance optimization, and security best practices.

•Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows and propose effective technical solutions.

•Identify technical debt and define actionable strategies for continuous improvement.

•Ensure consistency across systems, including integration patterns, APIs, and data flows.

•Support and modernize legacy applications while ensuring operational stability.

•Define and enforce DevOps and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.

•Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and architectural coaching.

•Monitor application performance and lead optimization initiatives.

Required Skills

•Strong expertise in .NET Core (C#) and enterprise application development.

•Deep experience with Azure Cloud Services, including:

•App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Virtual Machines, API Management, Virtual Networks.

•Serverless and container-based architectures.

•Solid understanding of cloud-native and distributed system design.

•Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.

•Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Cosmos DB).

•Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps.

•Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration concepts.

•Strong knowledge of application security, performance tuning, and scalability patterns.

•Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Nice to Have

•Experience with front-end frameworks such as React (preferred) or Angular.

•Background in microservices and event-driven architectures.

•Experience supporting distributed or offshore development teams.

•Knowledge of automated testing strategies and quality tooling.

•Azure Cloud certifications (Architect, Developer, or similar).
