We are seeking a
Senior DevOps Engineer
with strong expertise in
Terraform, Python, and Git
to lead the design, automation, and scalability of our cloud-based data platforms. This role goes beyond administration—acting as a hands-on DevOps leader who can architect, build, and optimize solutions across
Databricks, Snowflake, and modern cloud environments
.
You will be responsible for driving the transition from "clickops" to
infrastructure as code (IaC)
, enabling teams to work faster, safer, and more efficiently. In close collaboration with data, AI/ML, and infrastructure teams, you will help deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions that empower our global data science community.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Infrastructure as Code
- Lead the shift from manual operations ("clickops") to automated infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Design, build, and maintain DevOps solutions across multiple platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, cloud providers).
- Ensure scalable, secure, and cost-efficient environments for analytics and AI workloads.
Automation & CI/CD
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Databricks and Snowflake projects.
- Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring to ensure high reliability and performance.
- Integrate DevOps practices with DataOps and ModelOps to support end-to-end delivery of data and AI solutions.
Collaboration & Compliance
- Partner with security and compliance teams to align infrastructure with global regulations (e.g., data sovereignty).
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all infrastructure follows organizational standards and best practices.
Innovation & Enablement
- Provide frameworks and tools that enable teams to deploy and scale data and AI models independently.
- Contribute to proof-of-concepts and new technology evaluations to strengthen infrastructure strategy.
- Act as a mentor, promoting knowledge-sharing and DevOps best practices across teams.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years as a DevOps engineer with proven experience in enterprise environments.
- Core Skills: Strong expertise in Terraform (IaC), Python, and Git.
- Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake; cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Automation: Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and integrate with monitoring/logging tools.
- Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with ability to partner effectively with data engineering, security, and compliance teams.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
