Permitting Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced **Permit Coordinator / Permitting Specialist** to manage the full permitting process for residential and commercial construction projects.

This position is responsible for **submitting permits to city building departments, tracking approvals, responding to comments, and ensuring permits are issued in a timely manner**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Upload plans, documents, and forms through online permitting portals
- Communicate with cities to follow up on permit status
- Review plan review comments and coordinate responses with engineers, architects, and internal teams
- Track permits from submission to approval
- Maintain accurate permit logs and records
- Ensure permits are issued before work begins
- Coordinate revisions, resubmittals, and permit updates
- Communicate clearly with project managers and production team

**Requirements**:

- Experience submitting permits to Florida cities (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach preferred)
- Knowledge of building department portals (ePermits, Accela, etc.)
- Ability to read basic plans and permit documents
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple permits at the same time
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) **a Must.**:

- Construction, roofing, or solar permitting experience is a **strong plus**

Skills Needed

- PDF handling (combine, upload, label documents)
- Strong attention to deadlines
