**What the role is**

Responsible for developing and executing maintenance, AIPs (Asset Improvement Plan), IT and permits solutions to meet Selina needs and standards.

**What you will be doing**
**Maintenance**:

- Develops long and short range maintenance plans/programs (e.g. emergency response plans, energy management plans, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that resources are effectively utilized.
- Directs projects (e.g. site repairs/construction, preventive maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget.
- Inspects new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance and supplies for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently.
- Monitor the cash flow for the purpose of ensuring that expenses are within budget
- Participate in meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Responsible for supervising all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services.
- Ensure that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines.
- Prepare and manage the budgets to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and other resources.
- Work with locations GMs, operations and maintenance teams to improve the look and feel of the property.
- Build maintenance report plans.
- Search for new providers and contractors that provide better offers and in compliance with the requirements.
- Extension of providers list.
- Do site inspections to report equipment missing or not working.
- Build reports, such as daily/bi-weekly/monthly checklist.
- Manage maintenance cronogram for all water treatment plants.
- Ensure that all maintenance storage rooms are all up to standard and organized.
- Design and implementation of Preventative Maintence Plan
- Regular communication with GMs and inspect properties 3x per year
**AIPs**:

- Supervision AIP projects and cronograms
- Supervision with the contractors to make sure that they comply with the terms agreed.
- Manage the AIP budgets to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and other resources.
- Site inspections in all the properties that are having AIP projects and delivering reports with the progress of the project and its respective documentation.
- Contact each location leader to ensure everything is prepared in advance to be able to start any AIP project.
- Oversee third party structural engineering assessment in each property 1x per year
**Permits**:

- Ensure that all locations have all the permits up to date and renovated.
- Do all permitting for any new project.
- Getting contact with each municipality or ministry of health to ensure we have everything needed to start a project.
**IT**:

- Work together with the IT team to ensure the projects are ongoing and on time.
- Do site inspections to report to the IT administrator of equipment missing or not working.
- Be the bridge between the IT team and the operations/locations needs.
**What you need for the role**
- Mechanical Engineer or related field, can be replaced with proven years of experience
- Maintenance, permits or facilities role experience, 5+ years required
- Hospitality, building, renovation and construction experience.
- Willing to travel.
