**About the role**

Beat is looking for an ambitious, high-energy, and customer obsessed Global Marketing Director to oversee all top of funnel marketing activity, with a particular focus on our brand positioning & playbook, executional capability & excellence, creative production, and measurement. The role requires close collaboration with the central data and growth teams, as well as locally based marketing teams, to ultimately craft, deliver, and ensure adoption of consistent, best in class online and offline marketing strategies to efficiently maximize brand awareness and its impact on acquisition and engagement efforts.

**What you'll do day in day out**:

- Own our brand, ensuring its strength in the markets we operate and that Beat, across functions, extracts maximum value from it
- Plan, develop, and ensure adoption of best-in-class marketing capabilities, including brand positioning, playbooking, executional expertise, third party partner selection, and measurement
- Develop a short & long term strategy in cooperation with the User Acquisition, Growth, and Data to measure the impact of marketing on the entire funnel and ultimately maximize efficient user acquisition and engagement through brand awareness
- Set and defend targets for various brand strength metrics regionally and be accountable for meeting them with efficient allocation and best-in-class deployment across markets
- Craft, deploy, and maintain an environment to effectively monitor global marketing activity, investment, and impact
- Consistently keep stakeholders informed of global marketing plans and impact
- Act as topic expert in consulting local Heads of Marketing in their plans to leverage top of funnel investment to meet market specific needs
- Attract, lead, and retain a team of world-class marketing, communications, and creative professionals
- Act as the main point of contact for Data teams in producing the reporting and measurement capability required to evaluate impact of top of funnel marketing and inform global strategy and best practices

**What you need to have**:

- A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience, much of which in a hyper-growth environment, overseeing 8+ figure annual budgets
- Strong business acumen, as proven through a track record of successful entrepreneurship, consulting, operational and/or analytical commercial experience
- Excellent team-building ability: experience in leading teams and a record of attracting, cultivating, and retaining top talent
- Proven track record in identifying opportunities at the top of the funnel, defining KPIs, and managing progress against said KPIs to ultimately drive efficient and industry leading brand awareness growth
- Extraordinary communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Hands-on, proactive, and data-informed approach coupled with an established, rigorous, and sophisticated testing philosophy and willingness to take calculated risks
