Frontend Developer

**POSITION: Frontend Developer**

**Reports to: Chief Product Officer**

**Supervises: N/A**

**JOB PURPOSE**

The Frontend developer is responsible for ensuring the alignment of the design and user experience requirements, optimizing platforms and pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.

Responsible for transforming the design and product vision into a working product. Her/his work directly influences how users interact with the system. She/he works hard to stay on top of a constantly changing technology, investing a significant amount of energy in learning new tools. Not only knows the industry trends in frameworks for development, but also what will be available in the short term. Interested in new interfaces and with passion for developing new user experiences. Has a basic understanding of back-end programming and is willing to learn to help back-end developers write APIs that deliver great products.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**

Ensure code follows latest coding practices and industry standards

Works closely with back-end developers to properly understand and use API systems

Writes both unit and integration tests, developing automation tools for daily tasks

Challenges ideas and opinions, avoiding errors or inefficient solutions

Determining the structure and design of web pages.

Ensuring user experience determines design choices.

Developing features to enhance the user experience.

Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.

Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.

Building reusable code for future use.

Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.

Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.

Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**

Understanding of APIs, with practical knowledge

Ability to write effective unit test and integration

Understanding of Agile methodologies

Understanding of SEO principles.

Understanding of key design principles.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

Understanding of server-side CSS.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

Bachelors degree in Computer Science

Minimum four (4) years overall working experience as a Front-End Developer

Previous experience as a front-end developer

Expert experience with HTML, cross browser CSS, JavaScript and AJAX & response design

Mobile development experience

Experience in using JavaScript, frameworks MVC, such as Angular JS, or Backbone

Experience as a developer in an Agile team (preferred)

Experience with responsive and adaptive design.

**Salary**: $7,245,210 per month
