**Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst**:
Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a **Business Intelligence Analyst** to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on analyzing operational business data and transforming it into meaningful insights and actionable strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, extract and analyze data from various platforms, and create actionable reports that drive strategic and operational decisions.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Collect, extract, and manipulate data from SQL databases using advanced queries and data modeling techniques.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
- Develop and maintain insightful reports, dashboards, and KPIs that support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and document reporting requirements.
- Develop predictive models and forecasting tools to anticipate future trends and support strategic planning.
- Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports and databases.
- Maintain detailed documentation of reports, queries, and data management processes.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve data-related processes, enhance data quality, and optimize reporting efficiency.
- Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
**Requirements**:
**Experience and Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a BI Analyst or in a similar data-focused role.
- Advanced experience with SQL and database querying.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and effective data structure design for reporting and analysis.
**Skills and Strengths**:
- Proficiency in SQL Queries (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, etc.).
- Experience with BI tools and data visualization, particularly Google Looker and PowerBI.
- Experience with data extraction from Epic and Salesforce platforms.
- Strong data storytelling and business presentation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Python for data analysis (preferred but not required).
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights.
