Remote Senior Construction Project Manager / Project Engineer (Colombia-based)

**DRI, Inc.** is a U.S.based general contractor specializing in **public construction projects for the U.S. Government**, including work for the **National Park Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, and U.S. Forest Service**. We have an established, growing remote team in Colombia and one of our company owners resides in Colombia year-round. We focus on **historical renovations**, **vertical construction**, and projects in **unique, often environmentally sensitive locations** across the United States.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a **Remote Project Manager / Project Engineer** to join our dynamic international team.

You will work closely with a **U.S.based Project Manager counterpart** to manage the administrative and planning side of federal construction projects — **without requiring jobsite travel**.

This is a senior, full-time role with high responsibility for **estimating, project planning, proposal writing, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout support**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in **project estimating and bid preparation**:

- Draft and edit **project proposals** and submission documents
- **Review drawings and specifications** for project planning
- **Vet subcontractors**, gather quotes, and assist with buyouts
- Manage **submittal processes** and communication logs
- Support **project scheduling** alongside U.S. project managers
- Assist in **project closeout documentation** (O&M manuals, as-builts, etc.)
- Daily coordination with U.S.based project management teams
- Work within **BlueBeam, ProCore, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Projects**

**Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor’s Degree or greater** in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (4-year minimum required)
- **Fluent English** - verbal and written communication skills must be excellent
- **10+ years** of construction project management or project engineering experience
- Prior experience working for a **U.S.based construction company** is **strongly preferred but not required**:

- Knowledge of U.S. federal government contracting and public sector construction is a plus
- Strong experience in **reading blueprints, specifications, and construction documents**:

- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., BlueBeam, ProCore, Slack, Google Suite)
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with U.S.based teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

**Preferred Experience**:

- **Experience with historical building renovations, vertical construction, or general design/build construction**:

- Understanding of **public procurement processes** and **federal contract compliance**
