The Head of Engineering at Formula.Monks is the primary leader of our Engineering organization. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering people engagement, ensuring optimal team allocation, and achieving commercial success. The Head of Engineering will align these efforts with our overall business strategy to ensure the continued growth and success of the company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build, mentor, and manage a diverse team of talented engineers and engineering leaders to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Foster the creation of communities of practice to facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and mentorship.
- Develop and refine core organizational processes such as onboarding, hiring, mentorship, and career development.
- Oversee talent management, optimizing resource allocation to maximize productivity and profitability.
- Oversee daily operations of the engineering team, directly managing Engineering leaders to ensure efficiency and high performance.
- Develop efficient hiring processes for engineering roles that can attract high-performing talent.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to implement operational and structural changes.
- Foster cross-discipline (Engineering, Product, Design, Delivery) collaboration at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and maintain budget discipline.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a collaborative set of standards and best practices that ensure Engineering delivery excellence.
- Develop and lead strategies for technological and process innovations to enhance the engineering team’s capabilities and performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients to expand the company's customer base.
- Present strategic reports and insights at executive meetings.
- Develop training and certification strategies oriented towards achieving engineering excellence and driving client success.
- Support talent allocation strategically, ensuring the engineering team as a whole drives value.
- Design Engineering Disciplines oriented towards communities of practice and commercial focus of engineering-led services.
- Work with other company functions that require engineering support.
- Manage and evaluate the performance of the engineering team, fostering high engagement and satisfaction levels.
- Cultivate a robust plan for identifying and promoting engineering leaders who contribute to support the company as it grows and scales.
- Ensure that software products are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
- Create and nurture a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the Demand Generation team in early client engagements, showcasing our technical expertise.
- Research and identify new business opportunities to drive company growth.

- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A track record of managing cross-functional teams and projects.
- Successful implementation of engineering strategies that align with business goals.
- Consistent delivery of high-quality software products on time and within budget.
- High levels of team engagement and retention.
