We are continuing to expand our team and are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join some of the industry’s brightest minds that are dedicated to providing our customers and partners with security value and outcomes.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Implement and iterate the infrastructure underlying the Alert Logic by HelpSystems’ production environment in AWS
- Participate in performance tuning, availability, and disaster recovery for production environments
- Work with engineering stakeholders to identify and design Chaos Engineering experiments
- Implement, run, and report on Chaos Engineering experiments in production environments
- Maintain and update infrastructure as a code for relevant components
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A strong desire to improve technology and processes
- Ability to logically troubleshoot availability and performance issues
- 2+ years of experience working in a production environment
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- EC2, CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, Kinesis, etc.
- Linux systems engineering
- System deployment, management, performance tuning, problem diagnostics
- Experience working with infrastructure-as-code base managing Linux in a Cloud Environment
- CloudFormation, Terraform
- Ability to manage system impacting events
- Must be able to clearly communicate steps for resolution
- Strong scripting experience with at least one object-oriented language (Python required)
- Strong ability to transition to new technologies
- BS or BA in CS or CIS or equivalent work experience
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- CI/CD systems knowledge
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Routing, DNS, etc
- Other programming languages such as Ruby and Erlang
- Active Directory experience and Windows administration concepts
- Database experience
- MySQL (on AWS Aurora), DynamoDB, MongoDB, Elastic Search
