Quality Assurance Automation Specialist

**Purpose**

The Global Wealth Engineering (GWE) team is committed to delivering comprehensive wealth and asset management solutions to our clients. We are in the process of further expanding to additional new geographies. In support of this growth, we are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Functional Specialist (L7) to propose measures and process improvements to enhance operations, ensure reliability of systems, and minimize downtime, errors, and defects.

**Accountabilities**
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Design, improve, and maintain automation frameworks and tools.
- Create and estimate automation scripts using Java with Selenium
- Write moderate to complex code/scripts to test systems.
- Collaborate with development engineers during story and task breakdown to develop test approach that effectively covers the functional and performance characteristics of a feature.
- Work with the Delivery team Management to improve the testing process.
- Understand enterprise software design principles - architecture, design patterns, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Comfortably work in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your own time efficiently, without direct input or oversight
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

**Dimensions**
- Leadership skills, current experience on guiding QA team and coaching people is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of QA Process, Documentation and Testing Types
- QA documentation creation, review, sign-off
- Experience in end-to-end testing.
- Test data creation.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Understanding of ETL Testing concept.
- Creation and maintenance of Complex queries (SQL)
- Knowledge of relational & dimensional database
- Proficient in Functional Testing and System Integration Testing

**Education / Experience / Other Information**
- ** Must to have**:

- Language fluency in English (B1+) and Spanish.
- A proven track record in software quality assurance, demonstrating over 3 years of experience as a QA analyst with test automation.
- 2+ years of expertise specifically in automation testing tools like Selenium, Robot framework, Karate and Cucumber. (Selenium is a strong plus).
- Proficiency in SQL queries, especially for data comparison in test scenarios
- Solid understanding of GIT/Bitbucket (source code management tool) and CI/CD Pipeline
- Exposure to RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server. Knowledge and experience with SQL queries
- It would be a plus if you have experience in building, integrating, and deploying webservices (REST/ SOAP/JSON/XML).

- Proficiency in documenting and recording bugs and errors.
- 2+ of CRM and/or ERP systems working experience, preferably Salesforce and/or Dynamics 365 ERP.
- Experience in dealing with complicated business flows and concept.
- Test Management tools like JIRA, ALM.
- Solid working experience in an Agile Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Experience in testing REST Services
- API Testing Integration and Test Script Writing
- Programming Languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, VBA).

**Working Conditions**
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
