The role:
- Will be responsible for Consultation of all of RED HAT products and RED HAT business model
- Will work closely with the senior management (Director, VP and CxO) stakeholders of SWO in driving business case presentations and solutions demos/ workshops
- Manage publisher business plan, marketing plan, sales activities and publisher / partner liaison for the respective publisher inside SoftwareONE.
- Must be skilled and have very good understanding of RED HAT product offerings and RED HAT Channel Business Model.
- Must have working knowledge of RED HAT partner portal and its management.
- Is responsible for product positioning, evaluating customers’ requirements and offering custom configured demonstrations for better value propositioning.
- Must be able to build Business case & proof of concepts in co-ordination with customer contacts and internal stakeholders
- Is Responsible for analyzing the competitor's performance and provide the necessary strategic inputs to sales
- Maintains a stakeholder/owner level of engagement for RED HAT business.
- Is a license/program expert on RED HAT and ensures that all quoted and transacted deals in assigned territory are done so through the most appropriate and profitable licensing programs available.
- Maintains advanced level knowledge of service and solution offerings specific to RED HAT and is a customer facing resource for sales activities alongside SoftwareONE resources.
- Should have good knowledge of RED HAT programs to ensures that all incentives are claimed (deal registration, sales incentives, special programs, rebates etc.)
- Ensures organizational compliance with partner programs and certification requirements to ensure maximum profitability and reach.
- Acts as one of the liaisons partner channel/sales teams to promote SoftwareONE within partner organization.
- Records and maintains record of contacts, programs and certification through our intranet / systems.
- Influences and contributes to go-to-market strategies and marketing activities for assigned publishers.
- Own pipeline accuracy and provide weekly pipeline updates to regional and national sales leadership for assigned business lines.
What we need to see from you:
- Graduate/ Post graduate/ MBA.
- 3-6 years of experience in a similar role or a strong experience in software licensing/ consulting or advisory role with any software publisher.
- Must have an associate’s degree to qualify for University certification from an accredited institution
- Must have good understanding of** RED HAT** business model and its vast offerings.
- Well-versed in architectural best practices for medium and large deployments
- Experience working with virtualization technologies (vSphere, Xen, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization, Docker, PowerVM, Hyper-V) and cloud technologies like OpenStack (Icehouse or later)
- Understanding of core networking topology and devices (switches, routers, firewalls, and load-balancers)
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others to provide the best solution
- Basic programming skills and experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Ruby, Python, Java, PHP, Git, Bash, and Powershell
- Red Hat Certified Solutions Architect (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or ITIL certifications are an advantage
- Good presentation and communication skills with the ability to develop and present to high level executive, as well as deep-dive technical presentation.
- Technical leadership skills and the ability to articulate and compare alternatives approaches and how the technical solution will address clients’ needs and pain points
- Experience working with C-level stakeholders
- Must have some years of experience in a similar position or working experiences in any role with one of the main publishers, with a strong background in licensing/consulting
- Individual should be very organized, systematic, and have outstanding time management skills in order to work effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills are also required.
