Primary Function

Responsible to lead, manage and coordinate all the supply chain corn procurement strategies, in order to reduce supply cost against market and guarantee corn inventories levels, including risk management evaluations to minimize volatility impacts, planning futures and basis purchasing, leading and managing all the integrated logistics process for agri-products supply from origin ports, to delivery points of Ingredion in Colombia and Peru, including ocean freight, port operator and inland freight negotiation. Corn inventory control and protection for the management of futures hedging strategy for all businesses of Ingredion Colombia & Peru.

Critical Deliverables
- Trade Execution, Negotiation,Coordination and Reporting: Responsible to coordinate with Basis & Futures grains vendors and risk management agency strategies in order to obtain lower corn cost versus market and protect it from market volatility. Including, hedging alignment and accounting practices for derivatives. Strong ability to lead the development and implementation of strategic negotiations in ocean freights (charter party), port operations and inland freight, focused on sustainability, efficiencies vs. market, logistics cost reduction and long-term business relationships development.
- Compliance: Achieve goals and obtain cost efficiencies versus market in futures and basis purchases, reducing working capital through inventories control and on time corn supply, meeting Procedures and policies for Commodity Purchasing.
- Market and Competitive Intelligence: Keep updated international logistics skills with a close comprehension of ocean freights market, maritime transportation of bulk carriers, port operations (origin and destination), and inland freight market to facilitate business development.
- Logistics Projects. Advanced skills for the management of cost-effective projects to deliver significant results in cost & time reduction, through optimization and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree (Economics, Engineering, International Trade or Business Science). Master in Business Administration (MBA), Logistics or Financial Specialist.
- 5 year of experience in Grains Risk Management and International Trade knowledge.
- Advanced English
- Advance knowledge and understanding of commodity futures/options market and its related transactions and accounting practices.
- Understanding of grain trading standards, such as Fundamental and Technical analysis of Commodities.
- Futures data platform skills (i.e. SAP, Barchart, INO).
- Computer Skills with proficiency level (SAP, Office).
- Projects Management basic Skills.
