We are seeking a Video & Motion Animation Designer to join our Marketing team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Marketing team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional Video Editor. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of video, animation, and graphic design, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

The creative team, within the Marketing Department, is a group of communication and creative professionals operating as the company's internal agency to serve clients throughout the entire organization. The Video and Motion Animation Designer will work closely with fellow designers, internal clients, and Managers to ensure effective project completion for video, web-based, and sometimes print needs. This designer will be a visual problem solver who can work in a fast-paced work environment while creating collateral for use on a range of media platforms.

**Responsibilities**:

- Video planning, storyboarding, and editing for a variety of pieces such as video podcasts, department-specific videos, themed corporate videos, etc.
- Motion graphic design and animation to complement company communications and data visualization
- Image, sound, and stock video sourcing & handling
- Design of additional elements
- Promotional Graphics
- Charts / Graphics to be contained in thought leadership
- Infographics
- PDFs
- Design to support thought leadership initiatives
- PPT Optimization
- Ensure designs are in alignment to brand standards and maintain brand consistency
- Consistently meet project deadlines and maintain high level of work while managing multiple projects
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support and/or develop new concepts and initiatives
- Interact with internal clients and external vendors

**Attributes & Background**:

- A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training (3+ years of experience in video editing / graphic design in a creative environment)
- **Fluent in English and Spanish (CEFR at least C1 level)**:

- Understanding of design principles in both print and digital formats
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of work in a variety of media
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Strong Proofreader
- Ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and communicate progress
- Optimistic, self-motivated, and able to take initiative
- Able to take direction and to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within fast-paced working environment
- Writing and/or editing skills a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

- Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- May be exposed to UV radiation from the sun, radon, or other forms of air pollution.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time - locally, out-of-province, abroad, and for CAT response when needed.
