Overview*
The Product Owner Consultant is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the product line. This position works closely with members of the marketing department, sales, support, development and operations to ensure continuity in product offering and company goals. The product manager is also responsible for adhering to and promoting the company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company.

**Responsibilities**
- Represent the voice of the customer. This is done by managing the user persona(s) for their product. Seeks to develop a deep understanding of their target users. The primary focus is on what problems the user is trying to solve or goals they are trying to accomplish. It also includes an understanding of where they get information, what pain points they have, and what their motivations are.
- Conduct market research by ongoing one-on-one interviews with customers and potential customers within the target user persona to continue learning about new problems that the company can solve for them.
- Be agile and act as the product owner. Create user stories and manage the development backlog. This includes prioritization of the backlog to support new features or provide maintenance to existing ones.
- Articulate the user needs, market opportunity and product plans to the rest of the company. Keep key stakeholders informed about the product and the information they need to know.
- Monitor industry innovations and seek to incorporate into the product when appropriate.
- Keep track of key performance indicators (KPIs) for their product. Ensure that key stakeholders have access to these product KPIs to understand the product’s progress.
- Be user-centric
- Have organization and prioritization skills.
- Be good at collaborating and communicating with others
- Be skilled at tracking competition and new market trends
- Have industry and product vision and see beyond the existing product
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, MBA preferred
- 2+ years experience in User Experience research
