Data and Systems Associate

Academy is looking for a Data & Systems Associate with 2 - 4 years of experience who speaks Spanish and English fluently. This role requires a structured thinker with an attention to detail and an affinity for understanding technical systems. Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus, but not required.

**About the Role**:
Behind every effective program is a team of people who make the work possible. This role joins a stellar team of data, tech, and operations professionals who bring the work of Acumen Academy to 193 countries, from government officials in the South Pacific to supply chain entrepreneurs in Ethiopia to peacebuilders in Colombia. This role will play an integral part in every program that the Academy operates, by way of managing the program database we use to track our participation and impact. These responsibilities include:
**Systems**
- Manage program data in Salesforce, including iterating on the current structure to build architecture for new programs. This may include new fields, objects, reports, dashboards, processes or flows
- Manage users and user permissions in Salesforce as well as across a few more platforms such as our password management system
- Develop and upkeep data flows between platforms such as our Learning Management System, our event platforms, our marketing platform, and others - and escalate to the engineering team as necessary
- Develop creative strategies to ensure a smooth and friendly user experience for users in two languages

**Data**
- Upkeep data quality by cleaning historical data and assisting program leaders with data upload/input
- Work with Business Development team to provide impact data for grant reporting
- Prepare or provide access to weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on programs and areas of institutional interest
- Liaise with the Finance team to support monthly financial reconciliation of our paid products
- Liaise with the Legal team on issues of data management and security

**People**
- Onboard new team members to current systems and current team members to new systems
- Run regular bilingual training sessions to upskill others on the use of all systems
- Project manage system planning and implementation for multiple teams
- Serve as the go-to data expert for survey and metrics development across all products and regions

**Skills and Qualifications**
- 2 - 4 years of experience in detail-oriented systems and analysis work, such as technology management, program operations, impact analysis, or similar
- English and Spanish language fluency
- Highly attentive to detail and organized; proven success in detail-demanding roles
- Drive to learn, innovate, and persevere in creating structural and technical solutions
- Proficiency in analytical software and/or languages such as Excel, Python, or R
- Interpersonal skills and experience working with teams distributed around the world, across all time zones, and balancing competing priorities and cultural differences
- Some experience rolling out new technologies and processes to groups at various levels of comfort with technology
- Self reflective and aligned with Acumen values
- Permanent authorization to work in Colombia
- University Degree in quantitative field such as engineering, finance, statistics, mathematics etc. preferred but not required
- Experience with Salesforce or another Customer Relationship Management system is a bonus
