**Role Purpose**
In this role you will support the Head of Implementation in planning, monitoring, and delivering a major, long-term project. In this role, you’ll ensure each phase aligns with the project’s strategic goals as well as British Council and stakeholder policies, contributing to the project’s overall success and impact

**Main accountabilities but not limited to the following**
- Provides information to the stakeholder about the progress of the implementation of the components under their responsibility and the services contracted through a delivery partner.
- Ensures suppliers are held accountable for fulfilling contractual obligations.
- Builds strong internal and external relationships and networks.
- Contributes to the implementation of the public bilingualism policy 2023-2030, called “Barranquilla Bilingüe” in the public educational institutions of the Barranquilla city.
- Creates a detailed implementation plan integrating schedule of activities, deliverables, financial resources, quality management, communications plan, risk assessment and mitigation, indicators, amongst others.
- Works hand in hand with the Head of Implementation to make strategic decisions, thus mitigating possible risks during the implementation.
- Leads and monitors the implementation of all the assigned components of the project assuring quality through the coordination with other team members like technical leads, academic coordinators, and administrative coordinators.
- Supports the academic and administrative team on the delivery and monitoring of the components of the project assigned in line with the corporate policies and stakeholder’s requirements.
- Designs follow-up and/or retention strategies, implementing them with the support of the communications and academic team.
- Draws progress and technical reports of the project following the deadlines that have been established with the stakeholder.
- Visits schools to monitor the implementation of assigned components and establish relationships with principals, teachers, and coordinators to facilitate communication.
- Leads open call for teachers and/or students.
- Manages the necessary information platforms and tools for effective monitoring and design and maintain data bases.
- Monitors budget and expenditure against forecast.
- In collaboration with the Operations Finance Manager, monitors the cash flow and budget forecast for the assigned project according to the stakeholder’s requirements and British Council’s policies.In collaboration with the Operations Finance Manager, supervises and approves the financial reports including supporting documents to external partners under the supervision and approval of the Head of Implementation This includes detailed reports of withholding taxes to DIAN, and according to the stakeholders’ and British Council policies.

**Requirements of the role**
- Five (5) years of professional experience in large-scale projects, ideally in educational or social sectors.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish and familiarity with project life cycles.
- Understanding of procurement processes for obtaining goods and services.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing and communicating outcomes during the delivery of large-scale projects.
- Experience managing stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Ability to operate in English (both written and spoken) at a business level. Non-native speakers of English should demonstrate a CEFR B2 level.University degree in Administration, Education, Communications, or related areas..

**Additional information**
- Role could require some domestic travel as required by the project.Some out of hours and evening work responding to or driven by project needs.
