**Government Proposal Writer - Translation & Interpreting Services**

Cal Interpreting & Translations, Inc. (CIT) is a California-based language service provider delivering translation, transcription, and interpreting solutions in more than 200 languages, 24/7.

**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze solicitations for language services (translation, interpreting, transcription).
- Assess opportunity viability in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare clear summaries of solicitation requirements.
- Register CIT as a vendor when required.
- Collect and organize information for proposal development.
- Draft, edit, and proofread proposal content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and management teams throughout the proposal process.
- Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
- Maintain and update a proposal content library to support efficiency and best practices.
- Support other business development activities as assigned.

**Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)**
- Proven experience preparing proposals for U.S. Government contracts (SLED and California preferred).
- Professional background in the translation and localization industry.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1-C2), both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Business, English, Communications, Marketing, Linguistics, Translation/Interpreting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

**Schedule & Location**
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- writing bids: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (C1/C2) (preferred)
