We are looking for a talented **Chief Java Developer** to join our **remote **team.
This role will offer the chance to work with groundbreaking technologies in the GenAI domain and build experience with vector search. The primary responsibilities include the development and improvement of a cloud-based search engine, introduction of advanced full-text semantic and vector search capabilities, and the utilization of AI techniques to address business challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enhancement of the cloud-based search engine through continuous relevancy tuning
- Introduction of advanced full-text semantic and vector search capabilities, primarily for RAG use cases
- Utilization of AI techniques to resolve business issues
- Participation in the development of high-end products
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance client offerings
- Contribution to the ongoing refinement of the search engine
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- A minimum of 7 years of development experience with a strong emphasis on Java
- Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Familiarity with enterprise search platforms, full-text search technologies, and search engines
- Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch and Solr
- Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level

- Prior experience with Generative AI
- A deep understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Prior experience with Apache Lucene Core and OpenSearch
