**About the Role**

Data Scientists are key contributors to our data-driven decision-making processes at Wazoku. They are responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to support business goals and drive strategic decisions. Data Scientists are proficient in data analysis techniques and tools, and they can independently lead complex projects that involve cross-functional teams

A Data Scientist works closely with other data professionals, engineers, Product Managers, and stakeholders throughout the data lifecycle. As a Data Scientist, you should be a collaborative team player with a strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving abilities.

**Responsibilities**
- Convert SQL queries and databases to Django frameworks ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Conduct data modeling to design and implement robust data structures that support business needs.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Sisense, Tableau, and PowerBI to create and maintain insightful dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis to extract meaningful insights.
- Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support business strategies.
- Ensure data integrity and security in all data processes and systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data science practices.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks, preferably Django
- Strong data modelling skills and experience with designing scalable data architectures
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Sisense, Tableau, and PowerBI
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling techniques
- Familiarity with data engineering practices, including ETL processes and data pipeline development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Salary range $6,000,000 - $8,000,000 COP monthly depending on experience
