Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior System Engineer responsible for automation, instrumentation, and stability of our client’s various software platforms. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.

**Responsibilities**
- Combine sysadmin and development skills to automate IT infrastructure and operations
- Responsible for configuration, optimization and management of Elastic Cloud at GCP
- Responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning
- Focus on IT infrastructure to optimize existing systems and eliminating work through automation that defines clear processes for a given operation/business solution
- Sustain scalable and highly reliable software systems for infrastructure and operations
- Partner with development teams to bring speed and efficiency of deployment of new platform systems

**Technical Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of DevOps, systems administration and/or development background
- 2+ years of CI/CD experience including build, source control and test automation with tools like Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant and Docker
- 1+ years experience with infrastructure deployment, optimization, monitoring, performance of Cloud systems
- 2+ years of public Cloud experience in AWS, GCP and/or Azure; GCP preferred
- Experience with Elastic Search configuration, optimization and management; GCP Elastic Cloud preferred
- Strong Linux experience including scripting in Python and/or Bash
- Demonstrated track record of maintaining and building large scale distributed systems
- Proficient in scripting, coding, and deployment automation

**Bonus Skills**
- Cloud specific CI/CD experience including AWS CodeDeploy, GCP Cloud Build and/or Azure DevOps
- Experience with dynamic resource orchestration frameworks (Mesos, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
