**Important responsibilities in this role will include**:

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the Banking or Specialty Finance sector, including sub-segments like working capital loans, distressed debt financing, payday loans, P2P lending, and others.
- Track industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the Specialty Finance sector and its various product offerings.
- Develop financial models to evaluate the performance and valuation of companies within the sector, considering factors such as revenue growth, profitability, risk exposure, and capital structure.
- Produce well-researched equity research reports, credit ratings, and investment banking advisory reports that offer actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

**Skills we’re looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience as an Equity Research Analyst, Credit Rating Analyst, or Investment Banking Analyst with a strong focus on the Banking sector or Specialty Finance
- Proven expertise in analyzing financial statements, conducting valuation analysis, and producing detailed financial models.
- In-depth knowledge of various Specialty Finance products and services, such as Automotive Financing, Equipment financing, working capital loans, Payday Loans, Consumer lending, Real Estate Financing, Distressed debt financing, P2P lending, and more.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory developments impacting the Banking / Specialty Finance sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools, data sources, and software (Bloomberg, FactSet, Excel, etc.).
- Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and the ability to think critically.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple research projects and deadlines.
