**What you will do**

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for:

- Dotted-line report to ELMAC communications Sr Manager.
- Work closely to align Colombia corporate communication strategy and plan with VA&P director in Colombia and GM´s strategy.
- Help establish Amgen’s reputation as the top tier biotechnology medicines company in Colombia.
- Lead internal communications; provide a clear roadmap for consistently communicating with employees, so they will feel informed about organizational goals, specific initiatives.
- Build and manage relationships with key local media, and be key point of contact for media enquiries and requests (International, National, Business, trade, etc)
- Develop communications campaigns initiatives and events, drafting press releases, curating media contacts, customizing outreach, and following up.
- Communications manager will be responsible for AMGEN´s brand recognition and reputation. understand the company´s image and its value proposition; develop powerful and distinctive messaging; listen well and act to improve their processes, products and customer experience continuously; establish accountability for results with metrics, measures and monitoring; work social media optimally; and passionately live up to their brand promise every day.
- Be responsible for the crisis leading planning scenarios; detail for responses to as many potential crises as possible. Establish monitoring systems and practices to detect early warning signals of any foreseeable crisis. Establish and train a crisis management team.
- Work efficiently and think simply to improve Amgen´s value to internally/externally.
- Make visible Amgen Corporate Social Responsibility, including Amgen Foundation

- Ability to establish effective relationships with key internal customers, PR agencies and journalists; established relationships with based journalists and/or PR agencies a plus
- Proficiency in English and excellent written and verbal is required
- Able to prioritize multiple priorities, take direction and be accountable for delivering against communications plans, as well as planning and driving projects and events
- Partner effectively with Global Corporate Affairs to ensure global communication plan and capabilities.
- Proactive hardworking self-starter with high energy and motivation as well as serious dedication to hard work and excellence
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently
