ERM is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our growing office in Bogota.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct environmental/biodiversity due diligence and monitoring on behalf of development financial institutions for domestic and international development projects (i.e., oil and gas, power generation, electrical transmission, renewable/alternative energy, and mining projects).
- Prepare the environmental/biodiversity sections of national and international environmental and social impact assessments.
- Support the development of the environmental/biodiversity portions of corporate ESG strategies and support clients in implementing their ESG strategy.
- Perform project delivery activities such as report writing, undertaking and organizing data collection and survey fieldwork, performing data and literature review, developing recommendations for clients, and conducting fieldwork (including remote areas).
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, environmental engineering or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Five years of consulting experience.
- Bilingual English-Spanish a plus, but not required.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant - team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and service-oriented mentality.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
