As an engineer on the Analytics Management team, this position is responsible for executing the development & support of our client's BI solutions. This position will work closely with business partners & BI technical leads ensuring solutions meet their objectives including oversight of project delivery as well as management of day-to-day support activities.

This position will play an active role in the Data Modernization project moving most of our Corporate Analytics to Power BI while participating in the Corporate Data Governance effort leading strategy and implementation. The main role will be to design, create, and update large shared datasets to be used for a variety of analysis from Snowflake to Power BI.

**Responsibilities**:

- Team up with the engineering teams, Business Analysis project members, and business partners to design and develop new Snowflake Views and Power BI objects including Dashboards, Reporting, and Apps among others.
- Provide technical requirements for implementation of Snowflake and Power BI objects
- Learn and support current on prem BI tools and processes while migrating to new Cloud tools
- Work with Project Management to communicate timely estimates, updates, project status, and lead communication to project participants
- Work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment
- Document and establish standards for best practices

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years of experience in a BI Engineering role, specifically Power BI
- 3+ years of experience developing database objects and views in a star schema model optimized for reporting ease of use with a focus on fast performance
- Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Strong background in Power BI, Snowflake
- Expertise with Developing Power BI paginated (ssrs) reports
- Experience with retail industry, with focus on analytics, architecture and/or BI
- Strong understanding of data management principles
- Strong expertise with DAX and SQL
- Experience with other BI reporting solutions such as OBIEE and Tableau nice to have

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience in various Analytics technologies within a large-scale organization
- Personal Attributes: Self-starter, Collaborative, Curious, Strong work ethic, highly motivated, Team oriented
- Experience designing and building database views and BI Semantic layer models in an agile environment
- Hands on experience with Cloud technologies and open source technologies
- Experience working with and training end users in a support style environment
- Experience with new system implementation and change management
- Demonstrated ability in developing a culture that embraces innovation, and challenges existing paradigms

Pay: $80,000 - $100,000 per hour
