Purpose of the Position:
Develop, execute, and operate the Patient Support Program from diagnosis to linkage to care for HIV, HCV & HBV, Oncology/Hematology in related-High Risk Populations (HRP) and channels/accounts such as EPS, IPS, Addiction Centers, Blood Banks, Migration Centers, Prisons, or any potential place to found new patients for Gilead treatments.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:_- Develop and implement best in class DSP & PSP aligned with the Colombian market needs and ensure it is also aligned with compliance and legal best practices.- Establish, manage, and direct a network of external partners/vendors to deliver execution of the programs, within timelines, and budget, while also measuring results.- Exhibit excellent understanding of the healthcare system, market, developed via market research, local and international networking, advisory boards and strong external network in the health ecosystem; to translate insights into tactics for a continuous improvement of the DSP & PSP.- Set the programs with a data-driven mindset, implementing thru partners, digital platforms and omnichannel strategies to establish continuous, recurrent, and customer-centric engagements with different patients, in a compliance manner and with high sensitivity to data privacy laws and regulation.- Enables a data strategy, thru the program, in a compliant manner, then potentially enable real world data and evidence generation.- Analyses complex problems and provides logical recommendations; leads any required action planning.- Lead the operation of the programs with high sense of urgency to respond to patient’s needs thought their journey and interaction with the PSP.- Has responsibility for managing an assigned marketing budget and project timelines.- Establish national/regional understanding and heatmap of community care provider network such as IPS, EPS, drug counselling centers, addiction, blood banks and HIV/HCV, oncology/hematology clinics, treating physicians and other sites of care for vulnerable patients (PWIDs, migrants, blood banks, prisoners EPS and IPS’s).- Work collaboratively with the Market Access, Marketing, Medical and Government Affairs, to look at the development and implementation of PSP that add value to the needs of the patients and at national level (EPS) and Local level (IPS).- Design new and innovative approaches and tactics to tackle the topic of HCV elimination within an environment of extreme challenges and limited resources for care providers and affected people.- Organize Project Management support and advice the vendors and Gilead parties on the needs to drive execution of the programs.- Train DSP & PSP agency personnel to ensure flawless execution of diagnosis, education and LC.- Regular meetings with vendors to understand access barriers for diagnosis and LC to address with the Gilead team properly.- Ensure projects works complies with established practices, policies, key performance indicators and processes.- Conduct business in a compliant manner that reflects the Gilead Leader Behaviors.
Competencies / Skills / Knowledge- Provides vision & direction of DSP & PSP.- Drives for excellence.- Excellent communication ability.- Problem-solving skills.- Organization skills including networking, multi-task, effectively prioritize and customer oriented.- Team player with the ability to navigate cross-functionally on matrix organizations.- Committed and responsible.- Knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with high specialty & biotech background.- Solid experience in managing vendors, and cross function project teams- Experience of the Legal/Medical/Regulatory review process and work under the matrix organization.- Excellent project management skills with track record of planning, organizing and executing diverse programs and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Ability to lead multidisciplinary and transversal teams, with strategic vision and focus on achieving objectives.- Visionary and skillful in identifying opportunities for the Company.- Adaptable to change and capable of starting by itself.- Committed to the organization, strategic, analytical, influential, with negotiation, communication and relationship skills.
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a biotech/pharma fast-paced environment or 7 years of experience in the pharma industry.- A good understanding of the political and healthcare system in Colombia is a plus.Hands on experience
