Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Own the execution of the roadmap
- Work with the Product leader in merchant and partner services, develop product requirements, and partner with the delivery team to take it to the finish line.
- Contribute to product strategy, and vision by identifying market opportunities, market threats, industry trends, competitor and regulatory changes to position products and features to increase revenue
- Work closely with internal teams and when and where needed with external customers to understand and evaluate merchant needs
- Use both qualitative and quantitative data to identify and prioritize customer paint points to solve
- Scope new initiatives, get senior leadership and executive alignment and coordinate with cross-functional teams where required
- Not only ship new features/products, but continually monitor and makes recommendations on process and product improvements
- Operate independently, with mínimal supervision to effectively identify solution approaches, prioritizing features, and escalating appropriately
- Responsible for managing Epics and collaborate closely with internal Agile teams in adding items to the product backlog.
- Understands the P&L around the products they support and uses that information to influence project requirements and direction.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with change and ambiguity
- Collaborate with internal teams in problem solving while develop constructive working relationships that demonstrates CSG’s core competencies and values
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5+ years of prior product management experience managing in an agile software development environment taking SaaS products from concept to launch and iterating through versions to improve the experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill to precisely articulate the problem and benefit of a solution to both internal and external audience.
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills required. Prior experience using data to make decisions.
- Having a sense of urgency to solve customer issues
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal & organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bonus point, for prior experience using design thinking framework to discover customer problems and to validate usability and value of proposed solutions.
- Prior Payments processing experience or knowledge is beneficial
- Computer Science, math, science degree or software engineering experience
