**What You’ll be doing..**
- Creating a Kafka data platform to power real time event engine
- Writing code in Java (Quarkus) with unit tests (JUnit), giving code reviews, providing technical guidance to other engineers
- Designing new features, writing technical documentation
- Bringing new ideas to the team, helping define the technical vision and direction of the product

**You Have..**
- Experience with Kafka, event driven architectures, eventually consistent distributed systems
- Fluent in Java (we use java 19)
- 4+ YOE working with cloud native microservices
- Experience owning services in production: you develop, test, deploy, and monitor your code
- You live and breathe fault tolerance, reliability, and observability
- To you programming is handling failure modes
- We are primarily a React, REST, and Java (Quarkus) code base today with smaller sections in PHP, Go and Python. We use MySQL, Redis, Kafka, all on AWS. Although we are a small team we are making great progress and hope to continue our growth_
