**Overview**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **HR Assistant** to support our growing Human Resources department in a home health care setting. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with state regulations and AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) standards, particularly regarding documentation and credentialing for Aide and Skilled contracted employees.
The HR Assistant will assist in managing a wide range of administrative and compliance-related HR tasks, helping maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and supporting internal and external audits. This role is vital to ensure the HR team can operate efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
**Your Key Responsibilities as an HR Assistant**:
- Track and verify new hire contracts to ensure all documentation is completed before starting dates.
- Monitor onboarding and orientation completion to meet mandatory regulatory standards.
- Maintain ongoing communication with contracted staff to collect and verify credentials, certifications, and licenses.
- Coordinate with external agencies and partners to ensure documentation meets current legal and regulatory standards.
- Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and required trainings, issue alerts for upcoming renewals.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain audit-ready employee files for internal and external inspections.
- Support onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring documentation is accurately filed in both internal systems and the state portal.
- Contribute to special projects and compliance initiatives as directed by HR leadership.
**Qualifications**:
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word**:
- Strong typing, documentation, and written communication abilities
- Fluent in **English and Spanish** (spoken and written)
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Highly **reliable**, **accountable**, and **detail-oriented**
