**The key elements of this role involve**:
To lead and inspire the team to collaborate across our business to build compelling bids which meet our customer requirements and align with our company strategy.

To define a strategy for the department and persuade key decision makers to make the changes vital to implement your strategies.

You will own bid resource planning to ensure department capacity is aligned to demand and that wider business resources are forecast and agreed in advance of tender arrival.

Enabling the team to produce tender documentation that reflects the capability of the business and demonstrates to our customers that they can trust us to deliver their projects

All bids must follow the appropriate governance defined by Siemens internal processes. As part of the process you will chair bid gate reviews and ensure that high quality review meeting materials are prepared, minutes are accurately recorded and all actions are closed. You will strike the right balance between governance and cost efficiency.

To define and implement improvements in company processes and standards and relentlessly pursue lessons learned.

You will control the bid team budget.

**Measures of success**

Our win rate and achieving our order intake targets will be your primary measure of success.
- An ability to lead multiple teams in a matrix organization.
- Minimum 5 years of significant experience in leading process (bids in an engineering project-based business, in a regulated industry is highly desirable).
- Leading with emotional intelligence and flexibility to enable all team members to take ownership of their individual and collective performance.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong attention to detail.
- A growth mentality, with high energy levels; someone who is used to working to tight timescales.
- Advance level of English and Spanish is a must
