**Job Summary**:
The Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial information to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to financial regulations. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, and providing insights into the financial health of the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Financial Reporting**:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- **General Ledger Maintenance**:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures.
- **Audit and Compliance**:
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
- **Accounts Management**:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.
- **Process Improvement**:
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
