**Foundational Skillset**:

- **English Proficiency**: C level or better. This is mandatory. (if you work hard, are a nice person, and strive to communicate well, a high B level wouldnt be a deal breaker)
- **Frontend Development**: Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Familiarity with the Bootstrap framework is a must.
- **Backend Integration**: Basic understanding of backend API integrations to connect frontend designs with functional services.
- **WordPress**: Familiarity with implementing and customizing WordPress sites for both internal use and occasional client projects.
- **Version Control**: Experience using Git (preferably Gitea) for collaborative development.
- **Debugging and Optimization**: Ability to write clean, maintainable code and troubleshoot performance issues.
- **Linux Command Line**: Basic Linux knowledge to run and troubleshoot commands for build processes.
- **Build Tools**: Familiarity with builders/compilers like Webpack and Gulp.

**Preferred Skillset**:

- Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and design implementation.
- Basic understanding of geospatial tools or mapping libraries (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox).
- Basic understanding of CI/CD processes to support team workflows.
- Know how to use a provided Chat GPT account to enhance your workplace efficiency and knowledge base.

**Developer Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the product and UX/UI design teams to understand project requirements and user needs.
- Integrate APIs to ensure seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
- Occasionally implement and customize WordPress sites to support internal needs or assist clients.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and suggest improvements.
