Our client is an owner of a set of international websites that specialized in a vacation apartment rental for 10+ years. They connect homeowners and property managers with travelers who seek the space, value, and amenities of vacation rental homes as an alternative to hotels. Sites have a selection of homes around the world with detailed property descriptions, photos, and a list of amenities and nearby attractions. Sites are free-to-use for travelers and also feature Listing Reviews where travelers compare the accuracy of a listing to a property they have rented through the site. It allows not only to rent the village for the vacation but also to search houses for buying them.

**YOU ARE**:_
Possessing Java Web Application development experience of 4 years or more. You also are strong in_
- Java 8-11
- Microservices / REST
- MSSQL / MyBatis
- Unit Testing, Mock-testing
- Dropwizard (or Spring), Jersey, Jackson
- Maven, Git
- With knowledge or experience in_
- Kafka
- Splunk, Datadog, New Relic
- Jenkins, Docker
- Kotlin
- NodeJS, React
- Intermediate Strong or Upper English
**YOU WANT TO WORK WITH**:

- Java 8, Dropwizard, Maven, Kafka, Splunk, Datadog, REST
- Microservices and event-driven approaches
- Building out the E-commerce/Checkout platform to provide improved reliability, stability, monitoring, and performance to improve the overall vacation rental booking experience
- Different deprecations
- Drive new features from inception to production, working across the company with product managers, other stakeholders
- Creating and maintaining quality software using best-in-class tools: GitHub, Splunk, DataDog, PagerDuty
- Delivering tested and optimized high-performance code for a distributed container-based architecture (our stack satisfies 10s of thousands of requests per second)
