**Job Purpose**

Serve as a Wordpress Developer on the Global Marketing team at Astound Commerce, the world's most trusted independent digital commerce specialist.

**In this role you'll get to**
- Have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills.
- Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss website design and function.
- Designing and building the website front-end.
- Creating the website architecture.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests and optimizing the site for best possible performance.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- An ability to work under pressure to deliver assured and accurate designs, sometimes under your own guidance.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.

**Your skills and qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field or applicable work experience (2-4 years)
- English proficiency B2 or higher
- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Self starter with good communication skills.
- Experience with with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- A standout teammate; loves to work with cross-functional teams in understanding the detailed requirements and aligning the needs to business/product vision.
- Open to constructive feedback. Self starter and needs little supervision to complete a task.

Bonus:
Working knowledge/experience with PHP and VueJS
