**Job Description**:
Our Policy & Communications team collaborate with governments and policy organizations at local and national levels. We address legislative and regulatory issues that promote and protect the discovery of innovative medicine, vaccines and animal health products while improving and protecting patient access to care. The **Communications Specialist **is accountable for the execution of the internal communications plan for Colombia and Ecuador cluster while optimizing the use of the company’s internal communications channels. they are responsible for assessing communication needs at an internal level and organizing them in terms of strategic priorities according to the Internal Communications plan and business objectives.

This person must also measure and analyze the key communication performance metrics in order to visualize current and future trends, as well as to implement activities as needed. The **Communications Specialist **is also in charge of planning and executing the Social Media Strategy and content for corporate channels, as well as the Managing Director professional profile on Linkedin.

They must work in close alignment with Human Resources as a key partner to lead and execute the value proposition communication campaign for employees, as well as ensuring the timely communication of other HR initiatives.

As part of the role, the **Communication Specialist** is also accountable for organizing and executing internal engagement events such as the Townhall Meetings.

The role requires a creative, hands-on individual who can work effectively within a cross-functional team.

**Primary Activities**:

- Execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy for our company in Colombia and Ecuador with key audiences, channels, platforms, and messaging framework.
- Work in alignment with the Communication Manager, HR Director, Policy Director and the Senior Leadership for the execution of internal communication initiatives aligned with Business Objectives.
- Work as a team with the HR BPs to ensure consistency and coordination in internal communications campaigns to support HR strategies.
- Collaborate with the Colombia and Ecuador EBRG’s to coordinate and guide their communication initiatives within the framework of the internal communications plan.
- Assess communications needs from other areas to support communication initiatives as defined on the internal communications plan
- Drive change management communications for key processes that affect the whole company (e.g change in platforms, hybrid working model, etc)
- Support Business Practices and Compliance timely communication of our corporate policies and awareness campaigns for employees
- Lead the editorial curatorship for the Weekly Internal News bulletin, as well as identifying key news angles, writing articles and coordinate the bulletin publication.
- Create updated newsworthy content for other internal communication channels (Intranet, Office Screens, Stream Channel)
- Work in alignment with an external vendor (graphic design agency) to create communication materials aligned with our corporate branding, messaging framework and internal communications strategy
- Design and adapt internal announcements on a as needed basis
- Measure and create quarterly reports about internal channels performance with recommendations to improve
- Coordinate the organization of internal events (e.g Townhall Meetings), agenda, presentations and technical needs.
- Coordinate periodic trainings/ refreshers to ensure the implementation of MSD global brand guidelines at a local level to ensure brand consistency.

**Profile required**:

- Experience in working with internal communications. 2+ years after internship.
- Proficient working with digital publishing tools and editing tools (graphic design, video)
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) in Spanish and in English
- Organization and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Be a good team worker and work well with others
