Project Manager

Sezzle is a cutting-edge fintech company whose mission is to financially empower young consumers. Only one in three millennials own a credit card, and the vast majority of millennials possess a subprime credit score or no score at all. To address these problems, Sezzle has built a payment platform that increases purchasing power for consumers by offering interest-free installment plans at online stores. This increase in purchasing power for consumers leads to increased sales and basket sizes for the hundreds of eCommerce merchants that partner with Sezzle.

Sezzle is looking for a** Project Manager**, for Sezzle's Products for its 34,000+ merchants, who will be responsible for designing, building, innovating, and launching new Sezzle products that provide delightful experiences for Sezzle's merchants. As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline.

**Key Responsibilities Include**
- Drive product development building end to end solutions with engineers and designers
- Define detailed product requirements, scope, measure features to iterate and learn
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Conduct primary and secondary research to determine competitive benchmarking/market trends, and understand Sezzle's strategic and competitive position
- Manage the timelines to deliver product roadmaps and work with cross-functional teams (different business, development, and data)
- Analyze current customer/merchant experiences to define friction points and create seamless experiences- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility- Ensure resource availability and allocation- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques- Report and escalate to management as needed- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders- Perform risk management to minimize project risks- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

**Minimum Requirements**
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in SQL is **essential**:

- 3+ years of work experience in project management, experience in product management
- 2+ years of experience using qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customers ability to explore and structure customers' insights
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills
- Ability to translate product needs into technology requirements

**Preferred Knowledge and Skills**
- MBA or Master's Degree
- Experience in tech, payments or fintech- Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
- Experience with project planning software- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office- PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
- Knowledge of e-commerce practices from a technical perspective
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
