Org. Setting and Reporting
- This position is located in the Regional Office for the Andean Region and the Southern Cone (ROCOL), Division for Operations (DO), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), duty station in Bogota, Colombia. The incumbent will work under the overall guidance of the Senior Programme Officer and direct supervision of the Programme Officer (PROJUST area, Vulnerable Populations).

- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of Social Sciences, Education, or Sustainable Development, or other related academic background is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advance university degree.

- Work Experience
- Applicants to positions at this level who have an advanced university degree in a relevant field of study are exempt from the requirement of having professional work experience. Applicants with a first level university degree, 2 years of relevant qualifying work experience in developing strategies, plans, and projects against human trafficking and migrant smuggling are required. Work experience in implementing differential attention projects (such as gender, age, disability, ethnicity focus) is desirable Experience in project formulation and planning is desirable Experience coordinating small to medium-sized teams is desirable. Work experience in the policy cycle (design, implementation, and evaluation) is desirable. Work experience with regulations, standards, procedures, policies and strategies within the United Nations or a similar international organization is desirable. Experience in data analysis or related areas is desirable.
- Languages
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
