With nearly two decades of experience, Amwell powers the hybrid care of more than 55 health plans, which collectively represent more than 90 million covered lives, and many of the nation’s largest health systems, representing over 2,000 hospitals, have access to Amwell solutions. **Brief Overview**: **Core Responsibilities**: - Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation. - Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define and deliver project requirements. - Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high code quality and efficiency. - Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development processes. - Oversee system architecture decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance. - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. - Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring timely and efficient execution **Qualifications**: - 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role. - Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or other relevant programming languages. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems. - Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC). - Hands-on experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL). - Strong ability to mentor and coach engineers. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Effective communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). **Job Level:P4** **Working at Amwell**: Amwell is changing how care is delivered through online and mobile technology.
