Underwriting Specialist

We have been recognized as one of Inc 5000's fastest growing companies in the U.S. for 13 years in a row, and as a result, our teams continue to grow as well **What you'll do**: - Requires independent discretion for account verifications and approvals that help the business continue growing (Fraudulent accounts could result in millions of dollars in losses) - Strong attention to detail when reviewing new client account information - Working with other departments to help protect the company against fraud - Independently onboarding, reviewing, and approving new accounts - Create initial limits for accounts based on account review, work with Risk for adjustments - Seeking out accounts that appear to be fraudulent and alerting management when necessary - Collaborating with the other Underwriting team members in order to work most efficiently - The last day of every month require additional attention to help the business continue to grow - Customer account maintenance as needed - Possessing positive, can-do attitude during busy times of the month **About you**: - Bachelor's Degree required - 1 year experience with the company preferred - Minimum of 5 years work experience preferably in an underwriting capacity - "Can-do" attitude that is always willing to go Above and Beyond their every day tasks - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to excel in a collaborative, team environment - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) **Diversity, equity & inclusion at 8am** At 8am, we recognize that innovation occurs with a strong team of people who are diverse in background, personality, talent and ideas.
