Purpose Leads and oversees the Audit Department in GBS Campuses, ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Evaluates internal controls design and execution for assigned sections, projects, processes, and units. Assists the Officer in Charge (OIC) for assigned projects, processes, and units, and may act as OIC for less complex assignments. Ensures standards and methodology compliance based on risk and application of regulations. Provides advisory services with high quality and added value to units as part of audit projects or special projects. Accountabilities Lead and drive a customer‑focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Manage audit planning and execution on assigned areas, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and procedures are appropriate and risks are correctly assessed. Develop a deep understanding of the business, risks, and processes for assigned areas and identify emerging topics that could impact the audit plan. Execute assigned areas independently as part of the audit team, under OIC guidance, or as OIC, completing audit tests, presenting to the audit client, and documenting working papers. Ensure audit observations are written in a high standard, reflecting an understanding of errors, impact, root causes, and recommendations. Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day‑to‑day activities and decisions. Comply with the Department’s HR Management policies and procedures. Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced staff; assist in team development through training, monitoring, and performance management. Prepare periodic and annual performance self‑assessments, personal goals, and career development plans. Manage staff development, communicate job expectations, identify mentors/coaches, and pursue timely completion of performance appraisals. Lead or assist in projects or investigations of low to moderate complexity and handle confidential matters as required. Plan, document, and seek agreement on project approach; confirm conclusions upon completion in writing. Assist or lead work performed for external auditors as assigned. Continuously develop understanding of key processes and business applications. Provide advisory services as assigned. Present information to staff to share specialization and training insights. Create an environment for effective and efficient operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory risk, AML/ATF risk, conduct risk, and relevant frameworks. Education / Experience University degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields. Professional Designation (CIA, CPA, MBA) is an asset. Mandatory: Prior experience in audit, compliance, or internal control functions; minimum of 4 years in banking, finance, or auditing. Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Deep knowledge of bank and financial operations, including products and services. Experience in operational processes, preferably in finance, GBM, credit and market models, collections, risk, fraud management, or accounting. Proven in‑depth experience in data analytics. Financial sector knowledge and understanding of regulatory and competitive landscape. Aptitude for efficient teamwork, problem‑solving, and multitasking. Capacity to adapt to changing environments and devise audit approaches accordingly. Working Conditions Work in a standard office‑based environment; non‑standard hours are common.
