We are transforming the capital markets by democratizing access to investment opportunities and streamlining capital raises through innovative technology. Our Marketing Services team powers email, SMS, and multi-channel communications that drive issuer engagement, investor conversions, and ultimately funded dollars. As an Email Marketing Specialist , you sit at the core of that engine. This role blends strategy and execution — you’ll not only build and deploy campaigns, flows, and tests, but also identify insights, propose optimizations, and support cross-team initiatives. You’re one step above a Coordinator: more ownership, deeper analytics, and broader influence — but not yet at the Manager’s level of end-to-end strategic leadership. You will report to the Director of Email/SMS , and collaborate closely with the larger Communications team, as well as Strategists, Creative Design teams, etc. Who You Are You are an analytical, proactive marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are obsessed with performance, constantly test hypotheses, and back decisions with data. You can zoom out to understand strategy, but you’re also meticulous in your execution. You take initiative. You challenge assumptions. You look for smarter, faster ways to work. You have opinions and you’re not afraid to share them — respectfully and directly. What You Will Do Execute & Optimize Email/SMS and RVM Campaigns (Primary Responsibility): Own the execution of high-impact email/SMS campaigns end-to-end — from setup to QA to sending to reporting (Impact: Higher engagement and conversion across investor & issuer communications). Build and Improve Automated Flows: Develop, refine, and optimize automated sequences (nurtures, reminders, lifecycle flows), including segmentation logic, filtering, and personalization (Impact: Increased conversions and stronger lifecycle performance). Deep Campaign Analytics & Insights: Analyze campaign and flow performance, identify root causes, and recommend actionable optimizations (Impact: Data-driven decision-making that improves KPIs sustainably). A/B Testing & Experimentation: Propose and execute A/B tests on subject lines, content, CTAs, design elements, and send-time optimizations (Impact: Continuous improvement of open, click, and conversion rates). Segmentation & Audience Strategy: Build and manage targeted segments based on engagement data, behaviors, life-cycle stages, and platform interactions (Impact: Improved deliverability, personalization, and relevance). Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with marketing, creative, content, CRM, and product teams to ensure campaigns align with business goals and technical workflows (Impact: Integrated communications that support broader company objectives). Platform Ownership (Intermediate): Support the maintenance and optimization of Klaviyo (our primary ESP), HubSpot, or other email tools — including troubleshooting, managing integrations, and adopting new features (Impact: A clean, scalable email infrastructure). Monitor & Improve Deliverability and Domain Health: Regularly monitor core deliverability and domain health indicators (bounce rates, spam complaints, inbox placement trends, sender reputation). Collaborate with the Email Marketing Manager and Director of Email/SMS to implement best practices around sending domains, IP warm-up, list hygiene, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC in partnership with technical teams), and sunsetting unengaged contacts (Impact: Strong sender reputation, higher inbox placement, and more reliable performance data for optimization). What Skills You Need 2–3+ years of email marketing experience Strong Klaviyo, HubSpot, Customer.io or Braze experience (multi-hub or multi-flow experience is a major asset) Strong A/B testing and experimentation mindset Data-driven: comfortable with analytics, reporting, and uncovering insights Experience building segmented audiences Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns concurrently Clear communicator with excellent writing fundamentals Obsessed with QA, accuracy, and reliability — but still able to move fast Good operational mindset, and eye for process Bonus Skills Experience with SMS (Klaviyo/Twilio/Attentive/etc.) Experience with Zapier or integrator applications HTML/CSS familiarity Experience collaborating with technical teams Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Marketing and Sales Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at DealMaker by 2x Digital Marketing & Web Specialist (SEO | Social | WordPress) We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
