Overview Medical Science Liaison - Oncology role at Ipsen in Bogota, Colombia. The MSL is responsible for communicating medical and educational objectives, building relationships with Key Thought Leaders (KTLs), Health Care Professionals (HCPs), and Formulary Decision Makers, and supporting medical information activities within Ipsen’s national strategy. Responsibilities Comply with all Ipsen SOPs, policies, directives, and relevant national guidelines. Communicate medical and educational objectives set for the assigned products/indications within Ipsen’s national strategy (communication plan). Develop, maintain, and support professional relationships with internal and external customers (e.g., KTLs, HCPs, Formulary Decision Makers). Facilitate informational, educational, and research activities for physicians and ancillary healthcare professionals regarding Ipsen’s current and pipeline therapies. Identify and meet the scientific and technical needs of Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and commercial colleagues, working closely with other Ipsen personnel. Document activities accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant scientific information by performing literature searches and participating in medical congresses and conferences related to Ipsen’s disease and therapeutic area interests. Disseminate knowledge to HCPs in response to requests, in accordance with applicable laws. Provide fair, balanced, and transparent medical and scientific exchange in disease area management. Engage with current and potential sources of clinical and scientific expertise (e.g., known experts, rising stars). Identify informational needs of individual KTLs/HCPs and opportunities to fulfill them. Identify and invite KTLs and suitably qualified HCPs to participate in Advisory Boards. Inform KTLs and HCPs about Ipsen’s disease areas of interest. Organize and participate in the distribution and presentation of non-promotional materials. Provide scientific and medical content for, and participate in, presentations by KTLs and HCPs speaking on behalf of Ipsen at educational programs and meetings. Support internal medical review and facilitate processing of unsolicited real-world evidence (RWE) projects. Requirements Physician or Scientific university education, ideally at postgraduate level (e.g., MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD). Medical practice or research career (hospital, university research, pharmaceutical industry, or medical affairs). Ideally 6–12 months of experience and a successful track record as an MSL or medical department professional in a previous company. Experience working in a matrix organization and interfacing with lead/management teams. Ability to work with high workload and time pressure. Strong communication skills. Computer literacy. Broad pharmaceutical business knowledge. Proven experience and leadership within quality operations of multinational biopharmaceutical settings. Fluent in Spanish and English.
