Impact to Coupa: We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Senior Analyst to partner with leadership across Value Services (Professional Services, Education, Customer Success, and Support). In this high-impact role, you will deliver significant value by designing and building robust financial and operational models that directly inform executive planning, resource allocation, and operational strategy. You’ll collaborate with leaders across Value Services, Operations, and Finance, providing insights that drive the business plan and shape the financial health of the organization. This is an outstanding opportunity to become a trusted strategic partner in a scaling SaaS environment. What You’ll Do: Financial & Capacity Modeling: Build, maintain, and own end-to-end financial and capacity forecasting models (revenue, backlog, headcount, utilization, productivity, coverage) to support executive scenario planning. Partner with Finance on revenue recognition, margin analysis, and planning alignment. Serve as the primary analytics partner for quarterly and annual planning cycles and business reviews. Ensure model and data integrity through clear documentation of logic, assumptions, and methodologies. Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales Ops, and Data teams to align on metrics and leverage shared infrastructure. Operational Analytics: Monitor and report on core operational metrics (bookings, backlog, capacity). Develop variance analysis frameworks and lead ad-hoc analytical deep dives. Identify risks and refine forecasting assumptions in partnership with cross‑functional teams. Maintain documentation of all model logic and methodologies. Own data quality and reporting accuracy; identify gaps and drive improvements. What You Will Bring to Coupa: 5–7 years in FP&A, strategic finance, or business operations within SaaS, Services, or tech. Expertise in building and explaining complex financial models; advanced Excel/Sheets, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI). Strong understanding of Services metrics (bookings, backlog, revenue) and capacity/utilization economics. Clear communicator of quantitative insights to executives and cross‑functional teams. Collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to balance analytical rigor with business timelines while calling out risks when needed.
