Lead Product Designer

Overview Hi, we’re Search Atlas We’re a rapidly growing SEO software company and full-service digital agency that helps websites improve their Google performance. We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer who’s eager to take ownership of design direction while staying hands-on. You’ll lead a small team of 2–3 designers, elevate our product experiences, and partner closely with engineering and product leadership to bring ideas from concept to launch. This role is ideal for a strong Senior Product Designer ready to step into a leadership position, someone who can balance strategy, team mentorship, and execution in equal measure. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a small design team, providing feedback and supporting skill development. Oversee end-to-end design projects, from user research and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes. Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and leadership to translate business goals into intuitive user experiences. Create and maintain scalable design systems and documentation in Figma. Conduct and support user testing, research, and focus group sessions. Track project timelines, design velocity, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution. Contribute to discovery sessions and help shape product direction through data-driven design insights. Stay current with design trends, accessibility standards, and UX best practices. Requirements 5+ years of experience in Product or UX/UI Design, ideally in a SaaS or digital product environment. Proven ability to lead or mentor other designers (team size 2–3 preferred). Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work — from research to polished prototypes. Expertise in Figma for design, prototyping, and wireframing (Claude experience a plus). Experience with user research and usability testing. Comfort with analytics tools such as Mixpanel or Microsoft Clarity for data-driven insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to collaborate across product and engineering teams.
