About the Role We are seeking a Senior Golang Engineer with solid experience working with Go modules and dependencies to support a large portfolio of Go services. You’ll help ensure projects remain aligned, up-to-date, and ready for consolidation into a monorepo. This role involves working within established workflows and collaborating with the Kubernetes and Security teams to complete updates efficiently and reliably. It’s well-suited for someone who enjoys understanding how services connect, contributing to platform consistency, and supporting ongoing improvements across multiple projects What You’ll Do Upgrade Go packages across approximately 1,000 repositories. Review documentation and determine required module updates. Execute manual upgrades within an established workflow. Coordinate approvals with Kubernetes and Security teams. Use existing Python-based automation scripts to support upgrade activities. Ensure alignment with internal standards and requirements. Work within a predefined and strictly followed development process Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the assessment of skills and alignment with project needs What You Bring Strong experience with Go (modules, dependencies, package management). Bash scripting Experience working with Git and standard version control workflows Understanding of REST services and API integration Familiarity with CI/CD practices Ability to read and work with existing codebases Comfortable with documentation and following engineering processes Nice to have: Python (automation scripts exist; work remains mostly manual) Jenkins Rust familiarity (not required) What We Offer 100% remote work to provide flexibility and work-life balance.
