For more information, visit generation.org About the contractor role Location requirements: Remote (with reliable WiFi) Start date: February 2026 End date: June 2026 Type contract: 4-month contractor for online training. Instruction will be done both in Spanish and English What you’ll do IT Support Specialist online training facilitation based on existing content Ensure the involvement and active participation of our learners in the training program Take into account the feedback and results of learners and adapt your teaching accordingly Monitor, integrate and respond to learners' contributions and requests on our communication channels (MS Teams) Monitor and manage attendance of learners together with the Assistant Instructor through our digital tools (Canvas LMS) Conduct assessments and report data on our traceability tools and report progress regularly Share feedback with the Generation team and implement the recommendations to guarantee quality training for our learners Effectively use digital tools such as MS Teams and GDrive to perform daily instructional tasks Providing quality, effective, rigorous, relevant and adapted training to an adult audience based on the course of the Generation program for which training is provided Developing a training based on strong and trusting relationships with learners and knowledge of their strengths and challenges Being accessible to learners through mechanisms such as office hours and/or other strategic learning opportunities Monitoring learner progress by reviewing and analyzing learner data (e.g., reviews attendance, assignments, assessments, etc.), grading assignments and assessments, leveraging relevant digital tools, and identifying and implementing strategies to support learner needs Monitoring and responding to learners' communications and requests on program communication channels (e.g. Teams, Slack) Conducting assessments and ensuring data is accurately recorded by the assistant instructor, and learner progress is regularly reported and reviewed in Generation platforms. Sharing feedback with the Generation team and engaging in ongoing analysis and receipt of recommendations to maintain quality training for learners Consultant will also provide supplementary activities in support of the training program as follows: Supplementary Activities Deliver periodic summaries that reflect insights gained from interactions with learners, including observations about their strengths and challenges Assess and advise the Generation team about obstacles to learners' success and transition into a professional environment Participate in the organization of the cohort launch (e.g., lead pre-program orientation sessions, collaborate with delivery team and mentors, etc.) Attend onboarding sessions as agreed with the Generation team before cohort launch Coach and train the Assistant Instructor Attend upskilling sessions of the content of the program About You Experience and technical skills At least 3 years industry experience (IT Support role, such as IT Support Specialist or IT Service Desk Analyst), and 2+ years teaching experience Have B2 or C1 level of English and the capacity to teach technical classes in English Solid knowledge of technical topics, in particular: Programming (Variables, Data Types, Control Flow, Functions, Web APIs) Linux (SSH, Structure of a terminal command, Unix File System Permissions, Vim and Grep, Systemd, Enterprise Linux, etc.) General Computing (Binary and Hexadecimal arithmetic, Units of measurement for data, CPU Architectures and Instruction Sets, Computer Hardware, Cloud Computing essentials) Networking (TCP/IP stack including Packet Switching (compared to earlier forms of switching), Ethernet Frames and MAC Addresses, IP Packets, Addresses and Subnets, TCP and UDP, DNS and HTTP) Security (Passwords, Attack surfaces and vulnerabilities, Authentication vs Authorization, Firewalls and NAT) Experience as a professional adult trainer essential Strong command of digital tools is key, in particular: Google Workspace MS Teams, including whiteboard, polls and breakout rooms options Excellent communication skills (writing + oral expression), using communication online tools like Slack and emails Mindsets and Capabilities Identify with the mission of Generation Demonstrate an interest in the intersection of social and educational initiatives Demonstrate resilience as well as great adaptability and flexibility Demonstrate great motivation to work with groups of young adults who face barriers to access job opportunities Work rigorously and independently Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment Please apply with your English resume, thank you #J-18808-Ljbffr
