Accounting Manager

As the Accounting Manager at LighthouseAI, you will oversee the accounting operations, manage accounting records, and ensure the accuracy of financial reports. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of the accounting department. This is a full‑time remote position. Working Hours: Monday‑Friday 8am‑4:30pm ET. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accounts Reconciliation: Perform regular detailed reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Invoicing: Lead the invoicing process and ensure accurate, concise and timely billing. Communicate with customers with a high degree of professionalism. Accounts Receivable Oversight: Ownership of the entire accounts receivable process from invoice creation to cash collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the recording and reconciliation of receivables. Initiate appropriate and professional dialogue with customers to ensure timely collections. Classification of Incoming Transactions: Ensure accurate categorization of incoming transactions and maintain integrity of the financial data. Accounts Payable Management: Participate in the accounts payable process, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, proper expense recording, and cash flow management. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide insights into financial health and operational effectiveness. Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budget preparation and financial forecasts, providing analysis that aids in strategic decision‑making. Compliance and Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the company and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Audit Support: Lead the preparation for external audits and implement recommendations from audit findings. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy. Work Experience Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s degree preferred. Previous financial experience with US currency is required. At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment. Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and applications. Proven ability to manage accounts payable and receivable. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
