About this Role This position is designed for a driven investment professional keen to accelerate their career trajectory. As an Associate Investment Manager, you will develop essential skills across the full investment cycle, preparing for an autonomous Investment Manager role. Your responsibilities will include supporting and leading debt investments for high-impact Financial Service Providers (FSPs) and Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) in Latin America, as well as some global portfolio collaboration. The role requires coordination with a global investment team of eleven professionals, and reports directly to the Senior Investment Manager. Ideal candidates will exhibit strong analytical skills, independence, and excellent teamwork capabilities. Essential qualities include attention to detail, ownership, and commitment to impact investing in Latin America. Responsibilities Drive regional deal sourcing by cultivating new high-potential opportunities and managing the pipeline. Lead initial evaluations of prospective partners and prepare screening materials for committees. Build and assess financial models and conduct financial and market analyses. Prepare for and participate in on-site due diligence engagements with FSPs and SGBs. Analyze investment opportunities, draft investment memoranda, and present recommendations to the Investment Committee. Monitor portfolio results, support analysis and reporting, and conduct quarterly monitoring calls. Track regional macroeconomic, country, and currency risks, and assess implications for the portfolio. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum 4 years in credit or financial analysis involving debt or equity transactions with FSPs and/or SGBs in Latin America. Fluency in English and Spanish. Strong understanding of financial accounting and financial statement analysis; advanced Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
