For more details, visit their website at About this Role The Investment Director for the Impact-First Venture Loan Pool (IVLP) will be based in Global Partnerships’ Bogotá office, with the potential to work from the Nairobi office. This role is central to the organization’s efforts to strengthen its position in early-stage impact finance by sourcing and structuring investments in high-impact social enterprises. This role requires a proactive, network-oriented individual familiar with early-stage impact investing ecosystems in Latin America and Africa, and who will also be responsible for leading due diligence, producing investment memos, and presenting transactions to GP’s investment committee. A key focus will be on enterprises that generate meaningful impact for people living in poverty, particularly those offering essential services such as health, education, and financial inclusion. Additionally, the investment director will be expected to maintain investee relationships and monitor ongoing portfolio performance. Responsibilities Identify and develop relationships with venture funds, lenders, accelerators, and other ecosystem partners. Source social enterprises aligned with GP’s impact-first approach. Represent GP and IVLP at global and regional events and conferences. Lead the screening and due diligence of potential investments. Shape investment theses for potential IVLP transactions. Manage ongoing investee relationships and oversee portfolio performance. Maintain a business development pipeline and transaction data. Collaborate with the Credit Team to maintain portfolio financial data and risk monitoring tools. Coordinate with GP’s impact and content functions to inform strategy and stakeholder communications. Play a leadership role in the wind-down of GP’s legacy early-stage equity investments. Requirements Passion for GP’s mission to expand opportunity for people living in poverty. Entrepreneurial mindset with strong networking skills. Analytical rigor and attention to detail. Strong financial analysis and modeling skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Collaborative and adaptable, across cultures and time zones. 5+ years of experience in early-stage impact investing, venture capital, or related finance sectors. Experience with venture debt and/or early-stage equity investments preferred. Demonstrated network within impact investing ecosystems in Latin America or Africa. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred. Professional fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish highly preferred. Willingness to travel internationally frequently.
